Operation steps:
1. Ensure the camera settings are correct:
For some cameras, you may need to enter the "Settings menu" to find the HDMI output settings and set them to "Clear Output" or "No Interface Display" mode.
2. Connect the camera and capture card:
Connect the HDMI output port of the camera (usually Mini HDMI or Micro HDMI) to the HDMI input port of the capture card using a suitable HDMI cable.
Connect the USB output port of the capture card (USB-A or USB-C) to the USB port of the computer. To ensure stable data transmission, it is recommended to use USB 3.0 or higher versions of the port.
3. Set up the computer and software:
Open OBS Studio or other video capture software.
In OBS, click the "Source" panel in the lower left corner, click the "+" button → select "Video Capture Device".
In the pop-up window, select your capture card device, usually displayed as "USB Video" or "HDMI Capture" etc.
Configure the resolution and frame rate, recommend choosing 1080p 30fps or 60fps to ensure clear and smooth pictures.
Note: Some cameras may only support specific resolution outputs, ensure to select a resolution compatible with the camera's output.
4. Audio settings:
Audio synchronization issue: Most HDMI capture cards only capture video signals and do not have built-in audio. If audio is needed, you may need to use an additional audio input device or microphone to synchronize audio.
In OBS, you can:
Right-click the video device → Properties → check "Use custom audio device", select the corresponding audio source.
Or add an audio input capture device, select a microphone or other audio device.
5. Start recording or live streaming:
After setting up OBS, you can start recording or live streaming.
If your camera supports real-time autofocus and high-definition video output, when using the camera for live streaming, it can provide very high-quality picture effects.
